It's your first singing audition, you're nervous, you're excited, who know how it's going to turn out but dang it, yer gonna give a shot. Well, if you survive that first one, it's a good thing. You're going to need all of whatever skills you might have learned the first time to make it through the next singing audition you find without losing your lunch.
A singing audition is much like minor throat surgery. You give them your tonsils, and they make you an invalid for the next three days. Unless you now how to stay calm and not put yourself through torturous stress while auditioning, that is. The singing audition has crushed the hopes and chances of many a would-be Diana Ross. Their vocal chords give out and what sounded great in the shower that morning comes out sounding like garbled chop suey in a blender.
You can more than survive at that upcoming singing audition by learning how to take care of your voice and relax your throat and vocal chords prior to a singing audition so that they don't become constricted when it's time to perform. learning how to psychologically prepare yourself is also key. Meditate on the next singing audition you go on, and see how it feels when you are there.
